ABOUT THE JOB

Wilson Daniels Wholesale is seeking an Italian Sales Representative to join our New York City sales team.

The ideal candidate is a passionate wine professional with at least two years of wine sales experience and fluency in Italian . This position is responsible for driving profitable sales growth across an assigned NYC territory by developing new business, strengthening existing customer relationships, increasing brand visibility, and representing our portfolio of fine wines with knowledge and enthusiasm.

The Sales Representative will work closely with restaurants, retailers, hospitality professionals, and key accounts to build long-term partnerships and grow the presence of Wilson Daniels’ distinguished portfolio in the New York market.

THE DAY-TO-DAY

• Develop and grow relationships with key restaurant, retail, and hospitality accounts throughout New York City.
\n
• Prospect for new business and develop relationships with decision-makers to expand distribution and increase sales.
\n
• Execute territory sales strategies designed to achieve annual sales, shipment, profitability, and brand-building goals.
\n
• Promote Wilson Daniels’ portfolio by increasing brand visibility, placements, and account-level awareness.
\n
• Conduct wine tastings, staff trainings, educational presentations, and other account activations.
\n
• Build strong knowledge of the company’s domestic and international fine wine portfolio, including producer history, regional characteristics, and competitive positioning.
\n
• Prepare and deliver professional sales presentations tailored to each customer’s business needs and current supplier programs.
\n
• Understand each customer’s business, goals, consumer base, and buying patterns to identify opportunities for growth.
\n
• Partner with key accounts to develop creative programs that increase sales and strengthen brand loyalty.
\n
• Maintain consistent account coverage, follow up on opportunities, and ensure excellent customer service.
\n
• Assist with and participate in trade tastings, consumer events, dinners, and other market activations.
\n
• Monitor competitive activity and market trends and communicate relevant insights to the sales team.
\n
• Maintain accurate customer information, sales activity, and reporting.
\n
• Meet or exceed established annual sales and performance objectives.
\n

AM I THE RIGHT FIT?

\n
• 2+ years of wine sales experience required.
\n
• Fluent in Italian, both written and spoken, required.
\n
• Must reside in New York City and have the ability to regularly travel throughout the assigned territory.
\n
• Experience selling fine wine, luxury wine, or within the hospitality industry strongly preferred.
\n
• Established relationships with NYC restaurants, retailers, sommeliers, wine directors, or other key accounts preferred.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop new business, and grow existing accounts.
\n
• Passion for wine with a desire to continuously expand product, regional, and industry knowledge.
\n
• Strong business acumen with the ability to make sound decisions that drive sales, profitability, and market share.
\n
• Proven track record of achieving sales goals and developing customer relationships.
\n
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and objection-handling skills.
\n
• Ability to confidently educate customers and account staff on wine in a compelling and approachable manner.
\n
• Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
\n
• Strong relationship-building skills and a customer-first mindset.
\n
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
\n
• Experience selling domestic and international fine wine is a plus.
\n
• Brand-building and outside sales experience preferred.
\n
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
\n
• Experience with Pocket Advantage or similar sales technology is a plus.
\n
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, based on customer and business needs.
